Find your way

Get your bearings, then choose your next connection.

Your arrival starts at Logomo.

Passenger platforms are reached from the Logomo bridge, not the old station building. At our 3 October 2026 review, VR reported the Ratapihankatu-side lift out of service; the Logomo-side lift was working. Check the current notice before relying on a step-free route.

  • Logomo bridge

    Passenger platforms

Follow the bridge signs to your track. Lifts connect the bridge from Ratapihankatu and Vaunukatu, but temporary outages can change the route. Use the live board for your train and allow time to reach its platform.

  • Logomo Kitchen

    Waiting space & toilets

Station services are in Logomo, across the tracks from the city-centre side. The VR ticket machine stands outside Logomo Kitchen. An event entrance may be elsewhere in the building: follow your organiser’s directions.

  • Ratapihankatu

    City-centre side · Bus connections

Föli line 20 connects the station area with the city centre. Check the stop and direction in the planner. The old station and car-loading area are separate from the passenger platforms; do not use an old entrance as your meeting point.

Check the station on your ticket

Turku city-centre station and Turku Harbour are different stations. Match your ticket’s station, train and date to the live board; use the journey search for connections rather than treating this guide as a timetable.

  • Bus

    Föli local transport

Line 20 serves the railway-station area and city centre. Check the boarding stop, destination and direction with Föli; not every city bus leaves from the bridge. Buy the appropriate local ticket separately from your VR train ticket.

    Plan with Föli
  • Coaches & harbour

    Separate boarding places

The bus station, city-centre railway station and ferry terminals are not one interchange. Check the address on your coach or ferry booking. Street works in the port area can alter the final walking route; allow time for check-in.

  • Turku Airport

    Bus connection via the city

Föli line 1 connects the airport with the city centre and harbour. Plan the whole journey from Logomo, including the change and the stop for your direction; leave a margin for airport check-in.

Step into Turku

A short pause or a whole day. Choose a visit that fits your journey.

  • A short stop

    Stay near the bridge

Find your next platform, then pause at Logomo if its services are open. With no station luggage storage, a short connection is best kept simple.

  • A few hours

    Choose one neighbourhood

Visit Turku Art Museum on Puolalanmäki or take a city-centre walk towards the Aura River. Check museum hours, carry only what you need and allow time to return across the bridge.

  • A day in Turku

    River, food & history

Combine the market hall and riverbanks with one museum. The castle and harbour are a longer outing; plan the bus connection rather than rushing through several distant stops.

  • Logomo

    Culture beside the railway

The former railway workshops now host concerts, exhibitions and other events. Start with the programme for your visit, then check the entrance on your ticket rather than assuming the waiting-room entrance serves every event.

    Arrival & event access
  • Turku Art Museum

    Puolalanmäki · Aurakatu 26

Choose a gallery visit above the city centre, with a walk through the surrounding park. The hill matters if you need a gentler route: check the museum’s access information and current exhibitions before setting off.

    Plan a museum visit
  • Aura riverside & Market Hall

A walk with a food stop

Make the river your route rather than a list of attractions. Pick up something at the market hall, pause by the water and choose one bank to explore. Businesses have their own hours; winter weather may favour a shorter walk.

Explore the square and riverside surroundings, but do not plan an interior cathedral visit. The parish lists the cathedral, its museum and café closed from 9 February 2026 until 2 December 2028 for renovation.

A longer visit towards the harbour
