How to track flight departures and arrivals in Finland
Follow live airport boards in Finland and understand scheduled, estimated and actual flight times.

Use the flight number as the identity
A route can have several flights on the same day. The flight number is the clearest way to identify the service you need. Keep it available when checking the airport board, the airline app or messages about a disruption.
Start from Finnish airports on Junat, choose the airport and open departures or arrivals. For Helsinki Airport, you can go directly to departures or arrivals.
Scheduled, estimated and actual times are different
The scheduled time is the published timetable. An estimated time reflects the latest operational expectation. The actual time records what has happened. When a flight is delayed, the scheduled time remains useful as a reference, but the estimated or actual time tells you more about the current journey.
For arrivals, remember that landing time and the time passengers reach the arrivals hall are not the same. Taxiing, the assigned stand, passport control and baggage delivery can add time after touchdown.
Read the status together with the time
A time alone does not explain whether boarding has begun, the gate has changed or the flight has been cancelled. Read the displayed status and gate together. Airport information can update quickly, so recheck the board as departure approaches and follow announcements in the terminal.
The airline remains responsible for check-in, boarding and changes to your booking. Use its app or messages alongside the airport board, especially during disruption.
Search and live tracking answer different questions
Flight search helps you compare future itineraries and prices before booking. A live airport board shows the operational state of a scheduled flight. Do not treat an old search result as a live departure update.
A reliable sequence is simple: compare and book with the provider, save the flight number, then follow the airport board and airline information on the travel day.
When a flight is disrupted
If the status changes, first confirm the operating flight number, date and airport. Keep your booking details and receipts. For current passenger-rights guidance, consult the European Union's official air-passenger information and contact the airline about your specific booking.
